The short explanation of this alert was:
No, Ocean Spray isn’t running taste tests to determine what animals think of its latest flavors of juice—it’s actually funding experiments that have involved injecting mice with toxic chemicals and infecting countless others with painful ulcers, among other cruel tests, just so that the company can make health claims about cranberry juice.
These outrageous experiments are completely unnecessary and could be ended immediately—humane alternatives exist that are more sophisticated and more accurate. Please urge Ocean Spray to follow the lead of Welch’s, which, until recently, funded similar animal experiments but has since vowed to only fund non-animal research.
