Ask the Government of Tamil Nadu to Ban the Cruel 'Game' of Jallikattu
In the Madurai, Tiruchirapalli and Tanjore districts of Tamil Nadu province, local farmers think it is entertaining to chase and frighten bulls in an event called "jallikattu". Prizes, like money or jewellery, are attached to the bull's horns, and men grab and hold onto the bull's horns while trying to snatch the prize. Others place bets on the outcome of the "game".
Please let the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu know that animal abuse is not a game, and ask that jallikattu be banned.
You Can Help Stop This! Please write to the Chief Minister and ask him to ban jallikattu:
Dr Kalaignar M Karunanidhi Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Office Secretariat Chennai 600 009 India
