bebe Stops Buying Fur but Keeps Selling It!
We are pleased to announce that after more than a year of negotiation with PETA, bebe has stopped buying fur. While this important step forward means that no more animals will have to die for bebe, the company refuses to go all the way by pulling fur from its shelves, perpetuating the notion that breaking rabbits' necks or smashing their skulls before stringing them up by their legs and slitting their throats for their fur is OK. Many of bebe's top competitors, including J.Crew, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Wet Seal, pulled all fur from their shelves after making the decision to go fur-free.
As a result of the company's decision to continue to sell fur, we are urging people to refuse to shop at bebe until it stops selling fur and to encourage their friends and family members to do the same.
Please also send a letter to Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts and tell her that you are outraged that Burberry still uses the skins of tortured animals in its clothing.
Thank you for standing up for animals used for their fur! Please visit FurIsDead.com for even more ways that you can help.
