Alyssa Milano has sizzled on the covers of magazines—including Cosmopolitan, FHM, Stuff, Maxim, and TV Guide—and was even named America's number one sweetheart by Stuff. We think she's a sweetheart, too, because she speaks up for animals by promoting a vegetarian diet.
Alyssa is letting everyone know about this healthy and humane diet by appearing in an ad for PETA with the message "Let Vegetarianism Grow on You." The striking gown that she wears in the ad was created and designed by Mia Gyzander, and it's made entirely out of lettuce, asparagus, and other vegetables. Thanks to Alyssa, veggies never looked so good.
An animal lover, Alyssa believes that anything you can do to alleviate suffering matters. "The world has so much suffering in it already," Alyssa says. "[C]hoosing to be vegetarian is one thing you can do to reduce the suffering on a daily basis." We couldn't agree more. After all, eliminating animal flesh from your diet is the easiest and best way to help animals, the Earth, and your own body.

Sign PETA's pledge to be vegetarian for 30 days, and we'll send you recipes and tips to get you started on your way to a healthier and more humane way of life.
